Hi,

I installed the quickstart package of this JA Lime template, and it comes with Arabic Unitag -language preinstalled. However, I cannot uninstall it normally, since it does not have a package there, only languages for Site and Admin sides. If trying to uninstall, I get “you must use package to uninstall languages” -message.

Hi @seppo,

Go to Extensions -> Extension manage -> Choose Manage on the left -> Filer on type Language -> Check language to be uninstalled -> Choose Uninstall above the list

Thank you for response, but that was why I posted the question: it does not work like that.
If I do as you said, I will get this message from Joomla:
“Message

A language should always have been installed as a package.
To uninstall a language, filter type by package and uninstall the package.
”

The problem is that there is no package file for the arabic language in your quickstart package – but languages for site and admin are included there anyway. I would need to get rid of these since I need to migrate joomfish data from old site, and it won’t work if there is other languages present compared to original.

I am sorry maybe I was not clear in my questions: there is no package file for that language. That was first I tried since that’s how to usually uninstall languages. I do not yet know how to private reply but I will put up temprorary admin for you and send it soon as private message or private reply.

You should also see the problem if you use your quickstart package downloadable from your site, install it somewhere and go to uninstall the Arabic language. It seems a “bug” in your package. I have not installed anything else and the problem is there.

Please download the latest Arabic Unitag language pack here, install it then you will be able to uninstall Arabic language after that.
