October 11, 2012 at 2:25 am #469699Hmm.. I would like to advise you on this but then I don’t want to be blame for if you misunderstand and ends up overwriting your changes.
So… I’ll just point you in the right direction. Login to your backend administrator then go to component->JA Extension Manager
I use that to check what files was changed in the new version.

Yes, what arucardx said is right. Using JA Extension Manager to upgrade (link guide). And if you have any problem, you can post in forum or raise a ticket, we’ll support you resolve them.1 user says Thank You to Luna Garden for this useful post

make sure you have configured your updates services properly, so please visit this page to lean more.I fixed all my troubles with updates (and Instagram updates) after change php-mode on my apache. Now it is on fast-cgi mode, not as apache module.

October 21, 2012 at 10:04 pm #470658I tried to follow the links but I can’t upgrade to 1.05
Please bear with me, I am not a programmer but am very good at following verbatum instructions.Question:
In my Services Manager it shows both services (Localo Service and Joomlart Updates) but the Local service as the default as opposed to the opening screen shot at:
http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Extensions_Manager/Admin_Panel#Update_Services_Manager
..where it shows Joomlart Updates as the default.
Does this mean I should change the default to Joomlart Updates before proceeding with the steps? What I did anyway for the moment was chnaged the default to Joomlart Updates and then I went back to Extensions Manager where it recognized new version 1.05 “is available” , I skipped the compare step and clicked on Upgrade.
but I got this response:
“Errors occured during upgrading, please fix them fist
MySQL path is not configed
MySQL Dump path is not configed
Local repository path is not configed”Please advise, thank you

Yes, Please change the default to Joomla Updates, then fill your account info associated with the membership. Save.

Please open configuration page of JAEM.
Configured those settings or not change anything, then hit save button.1 user says Thank You to Luna Garden for this useful post
