September 28, 2012 at 4:37 pm #181038Hi, JA univ and slideshow has some problem with IE8. So I want to install new ver of template
I have JA univ 1.0.2 and I saw new ver is 1.0.3 and some component/plugin in this template also need to be updated (based on ver no. I see at download page). JA T3 framework also need to be updatedQuestions : How can I update the template and the plugin/component? I am very careful now, I crashed the site few days ago. So I thought I better ask. Can I just use install from joomla backend.
Appreciate the reply

The easiest way to do any updates is to make a backup first using akeeba backup!!
Then use JA extension manager to do it all – Components/JA Extension Manager.
Do T3 first, followed by all modules, followed by template.
Hope that helps!

September 28, 2012 at 6:38 pm #468520Thanks for the reply.
I understand that I have to purchased (paid) to be able to install JA Extension.
I don’t want to purchase the JA extension. So any other way to do the update?
Can I just use the INSTALL from joomla backend( will this do)?
Or I can use FTP and just dump the file/folder that I want to update?Appreciate the reply

September 28, 2012 at 6:43 pm #468521You’re a member my man so check in the JA University download file and it will be there. And you can download it as it’s part of the included modules.
