Hi

Not sure if this is the best answer, but you can see the differences in the update files if you use JA’s extension manager component.

When you see there is an update there are three links next to the update – select ‘Compare’ and it will show you what files have been changed/added etc.

You can then review which ones are likely to conflict with your customisation and manage the update manually.

Yes, you should use JAEM for upgrading. Please take backup before doing that.
