I’m getting ready to upgrade my Joomla 1.5 site to 2.5 using SPUpgrade. I have downloaded the new 2.5 version of JA Comment ready to install when I finish the migration.

I’m wondering if the database structure for this component is the same as for the old 1.5 version. If so, I suppose the technique is to export the 3 ja_comment tables from the old database and import them into the new database and change the prefix for those tables. Is there anything else I need to do or is that it?

I searched everywhere but couldn’t find this discussed in another post.

Hello keaka79,

You can install JA Comment j25 first, then only export data from old JA Comment database and import its data to new database.
