I want to use akeeba back up, so when my site hacked I could still recover it…
But, this akeeba is not available for joomla 1.6. I want ot update my site to joomla 1.6…than I tried to go to extension manager and click purge charge, than I update, but it doesn’t work:((..
any body know why??

will it work? or I have to update it to joomla 1.6.5 first?

December 1, 2011 at 3:13 am #427400#1. About your error message. Please check with your hosting provider, do they installed cURL and SSL for cURL lib
#2. You can upgrade directly from Joomla! 1.6.3 -> Joomla! 1.7.x by user Updater
#3. Patch files should not use in this case because update also need upgrade some database structure.Thank you,
