I haven’t found general explanations on the tutorial section of this template (or anywhere else too…)A similar question was asked here: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/off-line-page-set-up/

May 24, 2013 at 8:14 am #493834This article walks you through the process of placing your Joomla site in maintenance mode.
+ Login to your Joomla site.
+ Click the Global Configuration icon.
+ Click the Yes radio button and enter the message that you would like to display.
+ Click Save. Your site is now in offline mode and will not be viewable to visitors that do not have an administrative login.
You can open templates/ja_argo/error.php file and customize it if you like

I haven’t understood that it’s only the modal window that is customized… it’s why i didn’t tried the classical way to put my site offline.
