How do I use the contact form override? The quickstart Joomlart default contact that includes the map doesn’t even exist as a contact in J1.6 contact manager. If I create a new contact and add to the menu, there are no maps and no special Joomlart styling. I must be missing something.

OK, I did finally find the default contact by searching by contact ID (which is set to “1” by default)
So to add a menu item with the same styling as the quickstart, you need to create a link to external URL = “index.php?option=com_contact&view=contact&id=1&Itemid=444” (replace id=1 with the id of the contact that you want on your page).

You also must make sure to choose a profile image and set the display format to “plain”.
Unfortunately, even after all of this I still can’t get the form to display. Are there instructions anywhere for this Joomlart addon?

OK, I just learned that J1.6 does not automatically sync user email addresses when you add users to the contact component. In other words, if you don’t add the email address into the contact details parameters (which was done automatically in 1.5), then the email form will not display. In short, everything appears to be working.
