December 1, 2011 at 5:10 am #171325Hello Guys!
thanks for the tutorial, however, if I already have a joomla 1.5 server installed, also the travel 1.5 template, but I need to use the quickstart contents so it looks more like it the demo version, and being able to modify settings as convenience, what do I need to do? do I need to move all contents under the quickstart folder into the public_html folder into the hosting with joomla already? what about the administrator password? would I be able to login as before when finishing copuing? should I exlude the administrator folder while copying?
thanks a lot for your posts! regards!

Hi
Quickstart actually is a combined of
– Joomla! standard ( with sample data )
– Demo content ( installed extensions / demo content )It’s so hard to fetch demo content into exists Joomla! site. But in case you needed ( but don’t want install 2nd Joomla! site with quickstart to use as reference ) you can check into sample database to find out config of “modules” or anything.
installationsqlmysqlinstallationsqlmysqlsample_data.sql
Almost sample content actually is database record. So almost there.Another case. If you want to MOVE from exists site into quickstart and modify from this. It’ll be harder. And not suggest
Finally i most prefer install 2nd quickstart site and use as reference .Thank you

Joo, can supplement your comment above by better explaining how one might obtain the sample_data.sql file so that they can try to add the sample data manually . . . as your comments above do not really provide much info other than where the file may be located. -
