    HI,

I am totally new to this template system and I have been trying to figure out how to use those pretty typography, icons styles, image styles…etc

When I go into the editor I only can seem to type in text and format the text with the available features in the editor menu (eg: Bold, font size…etc) and I just don’t know where to use those pretty text formatting features. Maybe I need to write the article in HTML and know the CSS by heart in the editor?

I am a total newbie so can anyone direct me how I can start writing so pretty articles like the ones in the template?

By the way, I am currently using JCE editor.

    Thanks.

You can use in typography button to quickly insert any desired typography

    Welcome Felix!

The instructions on how to use each of the cool typography elements is actually included on the DEMO’s typography page.

They really are cool, aren’t they?

Let us know if you need further help.

    Have fun!
    John.

Hi Aman, Thanks for the info. I’ll try download the Typo Plugin and play around.

John, I can’t seem to find any instructions in the demo tempate. I can’t access to the link you provided above. Are you able to verify?

No doubt those typos are really cool. Can’t wait to use them. 🙂

    Many thanks!!

or you can even access the link at specific menu item::

    Hello,
I can’t get typography to work in my web-site. I used the quickstart package to install both Joomla and this template.
When I write an article and use this extra typography (either buttons or icons, whatever) I can only see them in the backend, but not in the front-end. I’m using JCE editor. I’even tried to use no editor at all or the standard joomla editor, but nothing changes. Even the page with the typography demo is not show properly.

You may take a look at the home page: http://www.hyp2012.eu/ to see my articles (location, time) and joomlart typo demo.

I hope you can help me with this. Thanks

    Aman,

The Typo Plugin uses its own set of typography so will not always bring up the typo as per the template. Some of it works but not all of it. I would like to hope JA can supply typo packs for it (it was mooted at one point) so the plugin will support all the extended typography evailable in each template.

After disabling the typo plugin, I started using the classes I’m familiar with (because I’ve been using them in other joomlart templates).
    I tried this simple one:
    <p class=”box-sticky”>June 25-29, 2012</p>
and this is what i get (see attachment).
A bit of a line below http:
    I really don’t understand why.

Could you PM me an admin logon so I can take a look?

In attachment you can see the screenshots of joomlart typography page and my test page where no icons appear at all. All I can see is just some blank space before the text “University of Padua” and “Video” and a strange result obtained by the simple code <p class=”icon icon-download”>.
These pictures have been taken after enabling the typo plugin, as suggested in this thread (as I said, I installed everything from the quickstart folder).
If I disable the typo plugin, the Joomlart typography page looks better, but icons in my page are still missing.

Thank you for your help. Anyway, ff I can’t get this template to work properly, I think I’ll install a different one, ja social probably.

If the demo works then we know the typo works, at least is does on the quickstart I have just done to test. If something else in causing problems then we need to take a look. I’ll check your ticket when I get home, please make sure it is updated with an admin logon if that is possible.
