My compliments to Joomlart on this web design, it is really beautiful. I am using the chocolate brown colour scheme. The watch and lock in the newsflash header are quite beautiful with all the layers of decoration, but these png image files are 185kb and 279kb in size! Not a practical solution for displaying on the web!:(( I wonder what the graphic artists were thinking in giving us these images?

I would like to use these images in the header, but am not very skilled at working with graphics. Has anyone found a solution to this problem – that is, how to reduce the file size without deleting too many layers?

You can make it to a gif file, but then again you loose quality. Or a jpg file. the thing i would done was to rewrite the template and change all large graphics and still have same layout/look as now. But then again it wont work straight out of the box im afraid…

Yes, I guess I will continue to experiment. Clearly, it is not workable ‘out of the box’ as you say. Thanks for replying.
