In the category view, using JA Teline II, the images are original size, which provides to be a problem when I use images that are larger than 200×300. You can see what i’m talking about at http://racingforthewin.com/Women-in-Racing/ .
Ideas?

December 18, 2008 at 6:22 am #283308Sorry, but what exactly do you mean. I looked at your site and could not get what the porblem was.
December 18, 2008 at 5:21 pm #283396http://racingforthewin.com/Drag-Racing/ is a better example. If you scroll down to the article titled “Terrible crash at Edmonton results in serious injuries for Dale Creasy, Jr.”, the image is the actual image size (2000×3000 or something). Shouldn’t the template decrease the size of the image to the size that it is in the article?

December 18, 2008 at 5:30 pm #283401I dont have this template installed but if it’s supposed to change image size I would say there should be a setting for it in the paramaters. However, personally I find it better to process the photo yourself it will end up looking much more clear and crisp.
December 18, 2008 at 5:39 pm #283405There is no parameter in the template config to do auto resize. I agree that it is better to process the photo myself, but, my site is also used by a large number of people, making it difficult to force each one of them to resize the photo they publish.

I have not tried having people post their own pictures, but there are gallery components like Expose that automatically resizes the photos as they are uploaded. Maybe there are others as well, that you could use? -
