February 10, 2009 at 6:21 pm #137981Hi there,
Getting a lot of positive feedback about my site (http://www.gbsc.ie)
But a lot of people asking if they could be able to click on the thumbnails in ja_news_fp to go to the associated article…Is this possible to do ?
Thanks

February 11, 2009 at 9:23 am #290627Hi vidapura,
Great that you are getting visitors to the site.
Regarding the links, when you put the contnent into the module, if you go to html mode, or click the html button, you can add your own html code to the content.
Here is an example of code for a pciture with a link to the actual page.
<a href=”this is where you put the url to the page”>
<img src=”this is where you put the link to the picture” width=”200″ height=”260″ border=”2″ alt=”this is where you add the alt text to the picture” /></a>then you can change the parameter as you wich to suit the pictures you are using.
Good luck!

February 11, 2009 at 11:33 am #290651Hi there,
And thanks for your suggestion.
Its a good idea but I would rather have a solution that does this automatically because the front page of my site will be changing quite quickly and there will be about ten non-technical people adding articles … So I’m wondering if the joomlart guys can do something…Thanks again,

February 11, 2009 at 3:39 pm #290689I may be wrong, but I don’t think there is any easy way to do this automatically. I don’t really se that the Joomlart guys can do this. But maybe there is a module already made with this in mind even if not made by Joomlart. Anyone know of anything like that?

Well, if they can hyperlink the titles they can probably hyperlink the images as well..
I’ll have a look at the code for fp next week to see if I can figure it out…Vida
