Sory I had to post here because the ticket system isn’t working, I am getting a 500 time-out error.

Here is the message:

Hi there,

I have been having multiple issues with JA Wall which is now causing headache.
I will be as descriptive as possible as I have exhausted all other options but to send a ticket in to you guys.

Here they are:

1. My aside-1, aside-2, aside-3 module positions are NOT showing up in the “ja_wall” template selection for K2, only the “corner-stamp” module position shows up, but if I select “ja_wall_blog” they show up, but this is NOT what I want to have happen. This page shows the “ja_wall” K2 setting with no modules in aside-1, aside-2, aside-3 even though they are published on that menu item: http://www.canadianfreelance.com/news. I found this post: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/position-aside-1-module-in-frontpage/ – and I want to know what work arounds I have to do in order to achieve my desired function.

2. I am using a popular component called JomDirectory and it isn’t working with your template, I have tried myself to correct the issue and had their support team get into it too, and they said it’s an issue with the JA Wall template, more specifically, JavaScipt errors. Here is how the component is supposed to work: http://jomdirectory.comdev.eu/automotive/dealerships/28-prestige-car-rental.html – AND here is how the component is working inside the JA Wall template on my website: http://www.canadianfreelance.com/directory/a-z/recording-studios/2-blue-light-studio – I can fix any CSS related issues, but it seems that the component is using a jQuery script that is conflicting with any of the ones used by JA Wall.

3. With regards to JavaScript, I have noticed that if I use an SEO optimization plugin like JCH Optimize, on JA Wall – The entire thing crashes. I can minify and join all the CSS files, but when I minify and join the JavaScript, it breaks the layout, now notwithstanding some JS may not be able to be joined, but for example there are several errors on the “wall.js” which when run through JSlint or the like to be fixed, they destroy the layout, so my question is, why are there apparent errors in the Javascript coding for this template? I have included a sample result from JSlint to this ticket.

Can you look into these issues?
At least tell me what I should be doing to fix them or give me a quote/cost to fixing them?

Hi Nick,

Below are my answer for your question:
1. As Pavit mentioned in that thread, JA Wall utilizes special layout to show content in grid, it doesn’t any other module position. However, so many other member request for a position to show advertisement so that we implement that corner-stamp position.

2. I’ve never used this JoomDirectory component before, could you clarify a little so that I can replicate the issue? Then PM me the admin & ftp account of your site, I will take a look.

3. This will be hard to detect the issue as you’re using 3rd party extensions on your site. These extensions also contains their own JS file and in some cases it doesn’t work when being optimized because it causes the conflict. As you also can see in another thread posted about the same question with JCH Optimize, it works fine.

How can I create another corner-stamp position beside the current one?

It would be hard as this template has special layout so it will related much to JS also.

But if you want to use 2nd module in this position, you can assign it to ‘corner-stamp’ position.
