March 22, 2009 at 5:07 pm #139458Hello,
I am using teline 2 with sh404sef. (I don’t know if relevant).
Whenever I click on a Magazine category (or sub-menu) on the drop down, I can not see the “Read more” link for the items in that category.
I have checked the Article parameters, the parameters (component) of the categories and sections and have select to show read more but it is not doing so on the live site.
How do I make that happen, please?
This one is the demo from Teline 2
4672
and this is my site.

March 23, 2009 at 11:24 pm #297542When you stated parameters (component), did you refer to what you find here?
Menus => Magazine => Select (Click) a Category => Parameters (Component) => Read more… Link

March 24, 2009 at 7:35 pm #297728OK, have you checked the menu item for the blog category? in there is an option to show/hide Read More… also, make sure you are inserting a tag: See graphic. I place my cursor where I want the break, then press the Read More…button at the bottom of the edit window.
also see here:

March 25, 2009 at 1:34 pm #297918imagineguinee.com is the website.
The article itself HAS Read more… But, I explained above with the image, when I click on any category, it does not show the Read more…
Yes I have Joomcomment installed and also sh404sef. Anything to do with these components?

March 25, 2009 at 2:00 pm #297928ok the problem is jomcomment… i’ve had the same problem.. enter in joomla admin, go under jomcomment component general settings, go to Layout tab, untick Use JomComment’s read more. This will put joomla template read mores back on all the pages
😉1 user says Thank You to brusamolino for this useful post

March 25, 2009 at 2:07 pm #297930Likewise you could turn off SEF on that specific component (or “skip”)

March 25, 2009 at 3:21 pm #297963Hello,
Billik, I have tried what you have suggested but it has not changed. The categories just refuse to show the Read more link.
Brusamolino, my mistake, I have Jcomment instead. ANd I have checked, there is no option similar to that of JomComment for showing or not the Read more link.
And for the SEF, is it relevant?

March 25, 2009 at 3:35 pm #297967Hi there,
I am sorry this is causing you such difficulty!
You can tell SEF to “Skip” the JComment component as a last resort. I hope you know what I am talking about and can figure it out.Good luck!
