Hi

Each time I want to edit a main menu item, I get some jumbled text on the page and by so doing i fail to edit any main menu item such as to rename, re-order, add content etc

I have attached a screenshot of what I get each time.

Please help as I have been stuck for a while trying to figure what is wrong here!

Hi rugarer,

It’s also weird to me. Did you try to access Global Configuration of your site and set the ‘Error Reporting’ on and try to edit menu again?

If there is any error, it will show up.

I tried to set the error reporting for all the options which are (Simple, Maximum & Development) but didnt notice any change or error coming up!

Did you try to raise the same question to Joomla forum? I think there is something wrong with Joomla on your site.

On my local machine the same problem occurs as well as with another site using the lawyers uber template!

May I know how did you install this template? Could you download template package again and install a test site in your local and see how it goes?

I unziped the uber template used the uber_j33 folder to instal. It was the quickstart folder i got this from. I put it in my xampp folder (like all the others) and on it never did allow me to edit the main menu even on the local machine, I thought maybe It would work when I uploaded it to the live server. I did and it still didnt work.

No I had not tried that forum – Had hoped would get some help here (didnt even know the forum was there – does that require some payment as well to join?

I just downloaded the quickstart package of Uber template: http://prntscr.com/8oy1wr

and follow this documentation to install quickstart package: http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/uber-template/uber-template-installation#quickstart-installation

But I can edit / create menu without issue : http://prntscr.com/8oy3lp

Hi

I downloaded the j34 uber quickstart and installed it and yes i can edit the menu. – The one I had used was uber_j33. Maybe this version had issues there.

Moving forward – is there anyway i can maybe copy the menu module from the working template to the template that has an issue compared to starting all over again the entire site?:((

Did you try to install Joomla fresh package? as the editing module feature belong to default Joomla and see how it goes.
