January 29, 2012 at 8:13 am #435981Hi
How you have installed your template ?
Those info ( “109=blog ” ) are settings for the Joomla 1.5 version of the template.
For the Joomla 1.7 version the page layout overwrite is already included in the quickstart version.
Regards
January 29, 2012 at 9:14 am #435986Hi, and thanks for the reply.
I installed the template without the quickstart as i didnt think i would need it at that time.
Can i install the quickstart now without loosing all the work on the site?
Or is there another solution?

If you install the quickstart now you will loose everything
The solution is to check how is configured the com_content in the demo package and adapt it to your com_content
So you need to overwrite or modify some php and css files
I can suggest ( if your site has not many articles ) to take a backup of your site with akeeba backup and install it on your localhost afetr done that install a quickstart package on your web server so after you will have two options.
1) Copy all your contents from local to webroot
2) Overwrite the content tables of the db from local to webroot
If you choose the second option check the db_suffix for both tables
January 29, 2012 at 10:25 am #435995Ive decided to start over from scratch and then i might as well upgrade Joomla to 2.5 version.
My question is, does JA Ores for Joomla 1.7 work with Joomla 2.5?

January 29, 2012 at 10:44 am #435998Ok, ill have to think about this then.
Thanks for the help though.
January 29, 2012 at 2:10 pm #436021I have now deleted the site only to discover that my ISP host only lets me install their Joomla files.
This makes it impossible for me to install the quickstart files. Its too bad since i really liked the look of the Ores blog layout :/
Hopefully theres a solution for this in the future.
