    Hi There.

    I don’t know where to look anymore, I am very desperate at the moment. First i installed Joomla 1.5.1, with the Avian II template. Nothing worked. Then i removed the subdomain with everything in it and the database. Then recreated a new subdomain and a new database, uploaded the QuickInstall folder, did the Joomla install with the JA demofiles. Unfortunately again that didn’t help also. Problem: The RSSlider on the homepage does not work. The thumbs in the lower bar don’t show up. Then when you click a gallery, the images don’t show up either. Is there a path problem. I don’t know it anymore.

    THis is the new link: site.haselier.nl

    Thank you very much

    Roy

    I don’t know much, but I had similar frustrations on installation. The slider thumbnails are controlled in the module JA RSGallery2 Slider in the Parameters. Default width is 60, height 40 and number is 7. Default path is images/rsgallery.

    I have no idea what is causing the gallery thumbnails to not display, but it appears there is an issue with the size and path.

    Hi.
    Open mod_ja_rsslide.php(modulesmod_ja_rsslidemod_ja_rsslide.php).
    Search those line :

    echo '<li class="jarss-element" style="padding: '.$paddingThumb.'px; width: '.($wThumb+$paddingThumb).'px;" ><img src="'.JURL_SITE.'/'.$containfolder.'thumb/'.$img.'" width="'.$wThumb.'" onclick="changeFullimage('.$i.');" id="img_rsslide_id_'.$i.'" class="img_rsslide_smooth" alt="'.$img.'" /></li>';
    Change to

    echo '<li class="jarss-element" style="padding: '.$paddingThumb.'px; width: '.($wThumb+$paddingThumb).'px;" ><img src="'.JURL_SITE.$containfolder.'thumb/'.$img.'" width="'.$wThumb.'" onclick="changeFullimage('.$i.');" id="img_rsslide_id_'.$i.'" class="img_rsslide_smooth" alt="'.$img.'" /></li>';

    thanks but it still doesn’t work:((. As you can see again on the demo site. Also when i open the source of the page i notice this:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://site.haselier.nl//modules/mod_ja_rsslide/mod_ja_rsslide/mod_ja_rsslide.js"></script>

    … and this (when you click on the “gallery” menu item) and switch also to the source of the page:

    src="http://site.haselier.nl//images/rsgallery/thumb/908243_14767853.jpg.jpg" /></a>

    as you can notice there are also double slashes after “site.haselier.nl//. Where or what do i have to change for that?

    Thanks

    In BACK-admin go to EXTENSIONS > MODULE MANAGER > JA RSGallery2 Slider then..

    On the right side there is a PARAMETERS column. In number of thumbnails I have 7 and in number of pics I have 14.

    Is that what you have? I’m not customer service or a pro with this template, just offering an idea to look at.

    Thank you for your reply to this but I already changed that to any number greater then 7. It has something to do with the path to the images http://site.haselier.nl//images/rsgallery/thumb/891248_74620021.jpg.jpg). But I don’t know where to look at anymore. Unfortunately i don’t get any help of the pro’s (the guys who made this gallery for JA)

    Hi There nguoiabcd,

    The site is back online http://site.haselier.nl, and as you can see the site does not look like the demo. I used the Quickinstaller. Ftp’ed the files to the root dir of the domain, did the standard joomla installation, installed the sample data, but that dit not the trick.

    In IE i get the Javascript error. And i still got the double slashes problem like this: http://site.haselier.nl//images/rsga…229180.jpg.jpg.

    Please please please can you help me because my clients are angry. I paid my clubmembership not for templates which do not look like the demo site.

    If you activated SEF in Joomla configuration… maybe that’s the problem. The problem is that the JA templates for 1.5 don’t work with SEF activated (I don’t know why and it is very annoying). I think JA staff has to answer to that problem.

    have you changed htaccess.txt to .htaccess ?

    Yes, of course I’ve changed it. But that’s a known problem. Other templates have the same problem (for example, Mageia for 1.5). I only used Quickstart templates for 1.5. Maybe their htaccess is wrong, I don’t know.
