January 23, 2011 at 8:06 pm #159183Hello,
my problem is not really important but i really don’t know where to find a solution.
On my website http://www.stjothonon.fr, on the homepage, i put a mod_jasidenews in right position module.
If i click on article in frontpage, i’ve got the article on screen but the mod_jasidenews on the right disappear. Why ???
Thanks if you have any idea…

please check the mod_jasidenews’s config, make sure it is assigned to the home page under the menu assignment options.

January 24, 2011 at 5:12 pm #373508Hello,
Yes it is.
If i select all the menus by selecting “all’ in assignment option, it’s working.
Bit if i select all the menus by selecting one by one in assignement menu, it doesn’t work, but my problem is i need to change mod_jasidenews depending of section or category articles views so i can not select “all”.Is it a bug ?!?
Thansk for your answered.

No, it is not a bug.
Your sections β letβs call them Vegetables, Fruit, Fish, Meat and Chicken β belong to different menus but all of them are represented on the frontpage. If the sidenews module is assigned to the fish and meat sections, but not the other three, it will appear when you click on herring, cod or pork or veal but not on pages for mango, bananas or cauliflower. Itβs pure logic. πinazone Friendinazone

January 24, 2011 at 6:26 pm #373523ok… and i’m not so logic… π
But… that’s assume that each article must be lie to a menu ?!? and it’s not the true in a web site, is it ?
I’ve got the same effect with articles inside mod_jasidenews “Qui sommes nous ?” on the left of the frontpage…Your explain is good but i’m still thinking is strange :-[
Thanks !

January 25, 2011 at 6:42 pm #373753hi,
In short, modules are assigned to menus, if you want modules to show at particular sections or articles etc, you must link those sections, articles to a menu item.
