December 26, 2011 at 9:30 pm #172177I have removed a bunch of demo modules from the homepage to fit what I need. However, there is still one there that I want to remove. It currently has the title: Welcome to MISP and is blank (it is right under the slideshow – width of the page). Basically I want to end up with the four little modules of content coming right under the slideshow. Can you tell me how to do this? Can’t find it anywhere
Second, how do I populate the four little modules with articles? Say I want a specific article in each module – how to do that?
– thanks for your help in advance!

December 26, 2011 at 9:41 pm #431252Hi cindycc
I have disabled your Show Page Heading from main menu –>Home –>Page Display Options
Now as you can see there is a white bar inside your content, that bar is the main content block
If you don’t need to publish anything in that position, you can disable it from your template manager override page.
You can create a new profile with the function Hide main content to Yes and assign it to the Home page only.
For the other question you can create a custom-html module with your content inside and publish in that position.

To insert a module inside an article, use the {loadposition xx} command, as follows:
- Create a module and set its position to any value that doesn’t conflict with an existing template position. You can type in the position value instead of selecting it from the drop-down list. For example, use the position myposition.
- Assign the module to the Menu Items that contain the articles that you want the module to show in. You can also just assign the module to all Menu Items.
- Edit the articles where you want this module to appear and insert the text {loadposition myposition} in the article at the place where you want the module.

I know how to make a new module – however, what kind of module should I pick from the list I am given in the pop-up window?

OK – once I make the new module, I need to add it to the Main Menu > Contact Us menu item (I assume once I make the module, it will be shown on the generated list).

OK – I know where to add this.
<em>@TomC 291573 wrote:</em><blockquote>
Note that this only works when the Content – Load Module plugin is enabled. If this plugin is disabled, the text {loadposition myposition} shows unchanged in the article.

It is enabled.
Thanks! I was getting confused –
