December 17, 2008 at 3:25 pm #283243Hi,
It sounds like you may have your ‘Access Level’ set to registered on your articles. If you set them to public it should be OK.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

December 18, 2008 at 4:53 pm #283393Go into your Section manager and Category manager and double check that your section and category themselves are “public”.
January 5, 2009 at 8:15 pm #284765I too am having the exact same problem. All sections, categories, and articles are set to Public. When you click on any article located in the mod_janews_fp area on the home page it states that You need to login. Down below in the article sections you can open the same exact article just fine.
Please help.

January 5, 2009 at 10:13 pm #284788How about someone with the problem sharing a URL so we can see what’s happening. Thanks!
John.

January 6, 2009 at 2:56 pm #284901This is not an answer…but an additional observation.
I went and registered on the site hoping to then be able to gain access to the FrontPage articles…but NOPE…still get the “You are not authorized…” but it did get rid of the “You need to login…”
So the issue is definately an ACCESS issue…and we’re looking for a setting that is allowing viewing only above the “Guest Level”…like Author or SuperAdministrator.
My 2 cents
John.January 6, 2009 at 5:20 pm #284945Thank you for taking a look at this.
I gave up with the 1.0 version, deleted, and installed 1.5. The only reason that I was originally going with 1.0 was for the additional tools that I know the user really wanted to have, but will make due without them.
The 1.0 version not only has problems with access levels (all content items, sections, and categories were set to public level access and still could not be viewed) but other issues as well. When unpublishing mod_jacpanel the font would re-size on the entire site to the largest font. I had to remove the font percentages in the css file.
I’ll post what I found out on the 1.5 version. But so far so good.
Thanks!
February 2, 2009 at 7:20 pm #289253So guys any progress on this issue? I’ve got exactly the same issue here! Same message while when I access the page through a ‘normal’ joomla module like latest news the problem isn’t there…
some more info: when I access through the ja news module I get this:
/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=173458when accessing through latest news module i get this:
/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=173&Itemid=452February 2, 2009 at 8:07 pm #289258another thing, ja news makes this page:
http://www.ckcmaassluis.nl/content/view/173458/
This page gives the you are not authorized error…when you put a / between 173 and 458 (like latest news makes the page) it shows correctly! So there must be a error in the php code??
