I have tried unsuccessfully to install V1.0.5.
Version 1.0.4 was successfully installed.
In the configuration phase, the installation of the test data, it never ends.
I’ve never had anything like that.
Could someone tell me what is the reason?

Would you mind getting me a few screenshots of pages where installation failed for more clarifications? Then I shall know what you are trying to achieve.
Right now, I am quite not sure where to start.

I am also not able to install the default english sample data during installation of the quickstart 1.05 package. Perhaps this is what carlucci wanted to mention in his post, too?

Hello,

Maybe your hosting doesn’t permit to upload a large file. Please don’t install sample data at that step. After installation, go to phpMyAdmin on your hosting cPanel and import following data files into your database (you can find them in your package).


/installation/sql/mysql/joomla.sql
/installation/sql/mysql/sample_blog.sql
/installation/sql/mysql/sample_brochure.sql
/installation/sql/mysql/sample_data.sql

Exactly! This is it!
Version 1.0.4 is fine.
Examples of data version 1.0.5 not installed.
The process is in an endless loop.

Hi —

I found a solution for the installation of the quickstart package: Edit the php.ini and allow more memory.

memory_limit = 64M

Ok, that’s written in the system requirements — but who is reading documentations and manuals? 😉
