Here is Doc for how to create a new module position.
If you want to create a full width position i suggest you to add new block with help of same doc in /tpls/blocks folder.

I can think of something else, above the header there are two modules left and righ( Tobai-i and toldbar-r)we could leave it in a center so it would be simpler

If you wsnt to yse default position you can use them and control them via layout options to hide/show for different screen sizes ss well.

Yes but I want it to be a single position so that the advertisement is centered
