Your question is not clear to me.
Do you want to use the module positions showing in the screenshot?
You can click on setting icon and set a module position name, Save the layout and publish the module on the new position.

Hi
Add below code in /css/custom.css file and reduce the padding value

.layout-home .t3-masthead .module-inner {
    padding: 64px;
}
