December 18, 2011 at 12:40 pm #430207change the line 20 in your template.css
ex :
body#bd {
background: url("../images/pattern/grey.png") repeat scroll 0 0 #FFFFFF;
color: #333333;
font-size: 12px;
line-height: 1.5;}
And of course clear all caches.

i want to be able to change the background of my site to images and the image i sent is just an example of the way it was done on another site.
December 20, 2011 at 1:37 am #430451So are you looking to change the background….but you want advertisements to only show on the left and the right?
In my experince with joomla the background graphic has to show only left and right…theres no way to control that with css.
December 20, 2011 at 6:55 am #430477Yes exactly… thats exactly what i want..i only want to show on left and right and change it manually anytime i need to

December 20, 2011 at 7:55 pm #430567oluwadare – I understand what you need. However, that needs the following:
1. The body of your site needs to have a common opaque fixed size.
2. Then you create a background with your left and right ads as you want – but important – have a fixed ‘center’ part of your advertisement page as ‘white area’, so that the white area will be taken up by the website content.All the best. There may be some templates that do that already – otherwise you have to add that to your code.
my 2 cents.
December 22, 2011 at 12:52 am #430757Im wordering the same thing….thats why I responded….
