Hi sorry for my english but i will try to explain
I try to make too thing i’ve seen here:

Put an icone on link on megamu and have “prefix” like you made here on forum
i put two picture to explain

for information i use joomla 2.5 ja purity II et kunena
in kunena i have find to put icone on subject but not like you here on mega menu and prefix off subjet
Tnaks a lot all for help ans soory for my english because i’m french

First Modify the parameters of the menu item

The the icon appears on the left

Then, modify mega.css by adding :

.ja-megamenu ul.level1 li.mega .has-image {
padding-left: 0;
display: block;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: right top;
}

Open templates/ja_purity_ii/css/menu/mega.css file

<blockquote>.ja-megamenu ul.level1 li.mega a.mega.news {
background: url(../../images/new.png) no-repeat 95% center;
}</blockquote>

new.png is icon.

Go to Admin site-> Menu -> Parameters (JA Extended) and add new class
