We would like to change the icons in the topmega menu and add some additional menu options. Where is this controlled, because we aren’t seeing anything in the configuration options for each top menu choice. We’ve made several attempts to specify an icon for a new menu item, but they won’t display.

If you want to change menu icons/images, I provided a “how-to” in the following thread – using the “Home” icon as an example . . . http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/home-icon-not-showing-up/#post-398424

Which menu images/icons were you wanting to change?

As for adding menu items, you simply need to go to your Menu Manager … select the default menu (with the gold star next to it … the default is “magazine”) … click “New” in the upper right menu items (the icon is a gold circle with a “+” sign) and name/configure your new menu item accordingly.

Are those the issues you were inquiring about ??

We want to change the icons for the topmega “social media” menu, the one that is on the right side with the Twitter and RSS icons. How does one go about switching the “dialogue/conversation” icon to something different?

We’d also like to add another icon to that menu with a drop down box. I created a menu item called “newsletter.” The text of the title shows up, but when I designate an icon image for this menu option, they don’t show on the menu bar.

    Thanks for the other advice.

Did you see the other post I linked for you in my previous response?
