February 2, 2009 at 9:13 pm #137733Just playing with this loverly template and toying with a .flv header.
A vignette will be added to the finished video to soften the edges but has anyone got any ideas to mahe the header look a little less dumped there? I tried pushing the video down a bit but couldn’t work out how without moving the menus.
Just looking for ideas.
Here is my test area.

February 2, 2009 at 11:01 pm #289269I don’t know this template css but check the header. Usually there are instructions about space above and below the logo area (where your video is now), there might be a way to move the video a bit more down. Besides that I would look for a background color that merges a bit more with the video area. Or ele give it a “film like” margin (maybe even as if it was a 35mm negative, with sprocket holes and all…
hope this is what you’re looking for in terms of ideas… anyway, the video looks great.
cheers

February 2, 2009 at 11:53 pm #289272I would put a bit of blank space before the flv. this looks a bit better i think.
You can do this with:
edit jean.css line 25
#ja-headerwrap {
background:transparent url(../../images/jean/header-bg.png) repeat-x scroll left bottom;
padding-top:25px;
Add the line marked in red. (always make backups)

Hey…. don’t have any ideas for you… just wanted to comment your name is very familiar. Did I used to see you in maybe the Mambo forums a few years ago? Just curious. It’s not often I run across a familiar name. rhand is another familiar name I have seen here.
