that would be helpful.just been trying to edit the original message but I can’t see a private area, I just get the option to edit and give the reason. Should I be looking elsewhere?

August 17, 2011 at 10:31 pm #406790hi melanieb,
Did you get anything working? My answer to your question would have been that this feature simply does not work with the enterprise job board component. I was told by Joomlart:
There are some problems when getting data form other sites in your server so we need more time to check. You can use “Local file” pick up method to import jobs for your site at this time.

I am not a dummy – if this were the case, I would not be importing feeds (another component) from external sources. This is what happened next:
I tried the local file pickup method from other feeds, and this did not work either!They also closed my ticket #XYD-906-27174 and did not look any further as promised.
I have MANY feeds and I have discovered MANY problems with the import feature (too many to list). I have activated another ticket in hopes that I will get this resolved right away. I will let you know if I do!
I am sorry to jump in on your thread, but I have the exact same problem without any solution as of yet.

August 17, 2011 at 10:44 pm #406793Hi again melanieb … I just saw your question on my thread and I have posted my answers to both. (Sorry for the delay). The Job board is not the only thing I am working on unfortunately!

August 19, 2011 at 11:16 am #407065Hi mcarbone,
unfortunately I am not having any joy either. I have been trying to resolve this for at least a week now and starting to regret purchasing this product as I am finding it so complicated to get working properly. I have sent my site access details (twice now) to support but not heard anything back for days now (maybe they have closed my ticket too). I think I have given up on the import as like you, it’s not working for me. For me, it’s frustrating to pay so much money for a product and to have to spend so much time trying to configure it and get it to work

August 19, 2011 at 3:03 pm #407099This was the response I got…
1. For Step 3 (map fields) when I attempt to map some required fields (specifically category and location) to the component and press “Save”, an error message appears that “category” or “location must have a value!”.
=>
You must choose “XML field” for category/location first.
If the imported value does not exist as a category on your database, Import system will choose data in “Attempt to match the category name with text from” field to get another data.….I have done every combination to get this to work…????
2. When I import either from a file or a URL all I get is ” There was no imported job”.
=>
We have try to import job via
…….that was it….?????!!!!!!???????????? -
