    Hi, I want to get my site working with IE 8

    My site is currently offline as I dont want it indexed so you cannot see it at the moment. However the problems I am experiencing also show up on your demo site, so you could use this for reference.

    I have the Xmap module installed which is also not showing up correclty in IE 8, Also civi crm although I just link to this through a wrapper

    I am running joomla 1.5.9

    I have changed some colours on the site in the CSS but nothing else

    In the ja_edenite template on your site as a demo

    * On the typography page you will notice at the bottom that a colour runs up a bit high, also on pages that are say longer than 3 articles the articles run over the bottom of the page.

    * The – demo contents – FAQ section does not line up properly using the links module

    * In the -layout options – wrapper full width, the wrapper is not full width

    * I only have 4 of the image modules down the bottom as opposed to 5 in your design and they do not line up correctly

    Here try this solution

    go to your admin and find your index.php file

    add the code into the head of that file <meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=7″ />

    Hey guys the joomla art guy did get back to me, thanks for your replies though and there is also a plugin you can download to add the IE7 compatibility mode to all your joomla pages.

    For this case, please open templatesja_edenitecssie8.css file, add following code to the end of file:

    #ja-container2 {
    width: 100%;
    }

    #ja-containerwrap-f #ja-content {
    width: 100%;
    }

    #ja-current-content {
    width: 95%;
    }

    .contentpane {
    width: 100%;
    }

    Thanks for posting the CSS fix. I was going crazy trying to figure this out because we just launched our site last week only to find our main feature was displaying only a part of it in the wrapper in IE8.
