October 27, 2011 at 6:27 pm #170117Our website displays properly in most recent versions of Firefox and IE9. However, when viewed by users in IE8, the items placed in the left module, such as our menu and login module, do not display as expected. Also, the slideshow does not display properly in IE8. Please see the screenshots below for an example of how the site should display and how it is displayed in IE8.
Firefox Screenshot (properly displayed)
IE8 Screenshot (IE8 bug display)
As you can see there is an issue with the slideshow and the menu/login modules on the right (left module position). For some reason the first slideshow image and description display fine in IE8 but the second slideshow image displays without the description. Also, the menu on the on the right (left module) does not display in the proper position. The left module, or menu on the right, actually display below the footer of the webpage.
How exactly should this issue be resolved? This is a live site and it needs to be resolved as soon as possible.
We are running the following:
Joomla 1.5.23
OS: Linux p
PHP: 5.3.5
MySQL: 5.0.92-community
Caching: Disabled-
