Hi,
I have increased the height of the logo to 156px. I have changed the #ja-header .main, h1.logo, h1.logo a.
It all works OK in IE8 and Mozilla but in IE7 the menu is behind the logo – please see here http://www.bohemiadesign.com.au/stm

I also have a IE7 problem with User 1-5 module positions. I only use module position User 1-4. In IE7 the last User position wraps ie it is displayed under User 1 – Please see link above.

Thanks for any suggestions

Give this a shot on the Header issue:

Update your /ja_kyanite_ii/css/template.css – Line 827
to read as follows:

#ja-header .main {
background:#F6F6F6 none repeat scroll 0 0;
height:170px;
}

This will complete the modifications you needed to fix in your new logo.
Probably won’t fix the rest…but at least we can eliminate it as a cause.

Get back to us.

I have been looking at the User 1-5 issue ie if I only use 4 of the 5 modules at top they wrap in IE7. I just can’t figure this one out.

Hi,
I have installed the “Quick Start” and turned one of the modules (user 4) off. I then previewed the site in IE7 and the same problem occur ie the user 1-5 modules wrap. Please see attached screen dump.
For some reason the issue doesn’t occur when you use developer tool in IE8.0 and change the Browser mode but when you actually view the site in IE7 it appears.

Thanks,
Jonas

Hi,

I have loaded JA_Kyanite i and this template doesn’t have the same problem with module positions User 1-5. I have done some customization to the JA Kyanite ii template (more than what is uploaded) and I would like not to have to start from the beginning again. Do you know what in particular might be the difference between these 2 template that cause this problem?

Thanks,

jonas

Hi bohemiadesign

I also confirm that after installing the JA_kyanite i template it works OK ie the module positions are not wrapping.

So did you get any support yet ?

I did some investigation myself and I believe the problem has to do with the following css styles in IE

ja-box column ja-box-left
ja-box column ja-box-center
ja-box column ja-box-center
ja-box column ja-box-right

they all have width= 25%

If you change one to 24 the problem is fixed ??

But is this the right solution ?

Thanx

Hi alpa,

I think that it is the right solution if it solved your problem.

Hi,
Thanks for the tip but tried this using the Developer tool in IE and it didn’t make any difference ie the rows are still wrapping

Hi,
If i chnage the following code in layouts/blocks/topsl.php
<?php
$spotlight = array (‘user1′,’user2′,’user3′,’user4′,’user5’);
$botsl = $this->calSpotlight ($spotlight,100);
if( $botsl ) :
?>
to
<?php
$spotlight = array (‘user1′,’user2′,’user3′,’user4′,’user5’);
$botsl = $this->calSpotlight ($spotlight,99);
if( $botsl ) :
?>
it seem to work OK. I notice though that the total width of topsplight is now smaller.

Cheers,
Jonas

Hi,
Can you guys please see if you see the “wrapping” on this site http://www.bohemiadesign.com.au/test/ – using The developer tools in IE8.0 and/or in a IE7.0 browser. This is the default install of JA Kyanite ii but with one module disbaled in top spotlight.

I would really appriciate your comments,

Thanks
Jonas
