Hi Guys has anyone found a simple solution to what appears to be ongoing issues with how the site appears in IE8?

My site is almost finished and all appeared well. Then i sent a link to a client overseas and he said all he sees is the top menu and banner as he is using IE8 and he gets the following message on his screen:

HTML Parsing Error: Unable to modify the parent container element before the child element closed (KB928917)
    Line:0
    Char:0
    Code:0

    Hello,
You will have headache coming so far and now this problem in IE 7 and 8.
You could try closing the param-tag properly, like <param…… />, so with end-slash.
On rest of page I see a couple of times a p-tag nested within a p-tag, wich is not allowed. But that will not cause IE to stumble.

    Hope it helps you.
    Good luck,
    Micrantha

    Hello,

Did you read this post? don’t know if it helps you out.
When you search the web on KB927917 IE8, you will find more people wrestling with this issue.
In earlier stage your website was looking OK in IE-versions. Than you had problem with .swf-banner. Maybe the solution caused this new issue?

    good luck,
    Micrantha
