    Hi guys,

    I’m finalizing my site with Ja-Anion. Everything was working fine until I’ve installed Kunena. Firefox ok but not IE8.

    In Kunena, I have script errors and strange ghost white box that I do not have when surfing in Firefox. I’ve tried to switch to another template (Ja-Purity) and everything works fine, only with ja-anion I’m facing these problems. Apparently there could be a conflict with mootools, jce and/or kunena and ja-anion.

    Do you have an idea where I should look? I’me very happy with this template and would like too keep it. If any one could help that would be great as I’m quite finish and this is blocking my final publishing.

    Thanks a lot!

    PS, I’m using Ja-Anion with Joomla 1.5.22, Kunena 1.6.2, comprofiler 1.3.1 and jce 1.5.7.6.

    Here is the site : http://www.vagracing.ch/forum.html

    You can check on IE8 the problems and everything ok on firefox. All the rest of the site is ok in both browsers. If you want to check the script errors you can register (test site) and then try to post something in the forum, the errors appears when validating the message.

    Thanks a lot!

    Firstly, I will not register or I would end up having my email address over hundreds of accounts, sorry. Raise a support ticket for that and create and account for the devs to investigate. It could be a conflict with the js for the errors. Probably nothing to worry about if the site still works but I know it does niggle.

    The box at the bottom is coming from some css code called #mbOverlay. As you hvae css optimization enabled it will be impossible to tell you exactly where this is coming from. Disable css optimization and js optimization to make it easier for us to find out what is wrong. The disavling of the js optimization may even cure your script errors

    Ok txs, I’m gonna to open a ticket. I’ve disabled the css, js optimization.

    Ok, the block at the bottom is coming from components>com_kunena>js>mediaboxadvanced>css>mediaboxAdv.css

    I have no clue what that is so best ask that question on the Kunena forum as it is part of their code.

    Thanks a lot, I will submit this point to Kunena. What is strange is with JA-Purity template, this error is not appearing…

    Regarding the possible script problems, is there any possibility that this is coming from the mootools conflict that everyone is talking about? Or should I also ask Kunena about this?

    Could be but js conflicts are something I really struggle to diagnose. Give the Kunena guys a try as I know JA are on their holidays for the next few days – http://www.threeland.com/vietnam_festivals_events.htm

    Thanks again!

    Hi there,

    After had checked with Kunena and CB they send me back to you guys…

    This white box appears only on commercials JA templates but disappears in JA-Purity for example…This ghost white box appears when I put online the cb plugin for kunena and apparently something creates a conflict in the template. The problem is that I need this plugin to have the kunena posts shown in the community builder profiles…

    Any idea?

    You can see the problem on IE8 in the forum here : http://www.vagracing.ch/forum.html

    Thanks again for your assistance as I really want to keep my Joomla 1.5.22, JA Anion template 1.2.4, CB 1.3.1 and Kunena 1.6.2.

    Your Kunena thread got no answers and your CB thread got a stock response.

    I cannot offer any further advice. It could take me hours to figure this one out as js really is something I do not know. Hopefully someone else can pipe in. If this appears in all JAT3 templates when you use the combination of extensions you suggest then it does indeed seem odd.

    Exact Phill very strange. I’ve tried to remove a lot of plugins and this appears only with the cb kunena plugin in the JAT3 templates. No idea why, does anyone have a similar problem around here?

    This IE is incredible, in firefox or safari I do not have any issue…

    Another question, why the js would bring a kind of white box? Is that a normal issue when a conflict appears?
    Thanks again for your assistance, will try to keep this post up to see if someone else has the problem.

    This is not a JS conflict problem, but the conflict between mediaboxAdv and curvyconner. The curvyconner script automatically find all elements using css3 and modify it in IE. That’s why it make the div with id “mbCenter” generated by mediaboxAdv visible in IE, because this box is defined as curve using css3 in mediaboxAdv.css (line 30)

    #mbCenter {
    -moz-border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px;
    -moz-box-shadow: 0 5px 20px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);

    I suggest that you should get help from Kunena or CB or those script authors.
