I’ve been told this is probably a template problem. When i register as a new user, and click register, it just goes back to the homepage, no message that the user will receive an email to confirm or anything. (it does send the email). But when I click on another page- it looks like it then shows the message :confused::confused:

Another problem – after I’m logged in as a registered user and I click on ‘Your Details’ in my User Menu – it brings up a Login form saying I have to login to do this – well i just logged in! But even if I do try to login in that box, nothing happens. The ‘Your Details’ seems to only worked if i’m logged in with my Super Admin account. (sometimes it works ok, but mostly not)

Another thing I’ve noticed is that i will put products in my cart – and travel around the site – and on the home page, it will say my cart is empty, but then i’ll go to another page and it will show the products in the cart (in the vmcart module)

I just took the site live, and I’m worried what these problems mean. Can someone help?

Does someone here do any kind of site overviews, to look at problems? i don’t know how much of this is template problems.

Hi amlinc,

About your first problem, as you can probably see I’ve registered in your website. Registration went great and when I clicked to submit it redirected to homepage and a message apperared. So in this one I didnt find the problem.

I’ve clicked on Your Details and you’re right.. something is wrong. But that kind of problem doesn’t come from the template.. maybe the problem is with virtuemart. Just in case would you mind switching templates to see what happens?

I also tested shopping cart and didn’t find any problem. Can you provide us 1 example of page that show empty cart and another example that don’t show?

I will see if I can get some screenshots, is that what you want? Like i just added a couple of things then went to show cart, then I clicked home and it was empty.

Oh and you see how on that second screenshot, the login module says I’m not logged in?

but then the next time i try to recreate it, it works fine. :confused:

also, when I login, the first time it will usually say session has expired, and then I have to login again? its frustrating when things only happen sometimes and not for everybody!

I will insist in asking you to change the template and make some tests. See if problems are happening the same way.

About login and session expired that’s a virtuemart and joomla problem… not template. Maybe you should ask on virtuemart foruns.
