    I cannot see that on the iPad Troy. What are you escalating? The code is supplied was not in philips CSS hence it still not working. While I had his FTP details I did not have the relevant permissions to edit his files for him.

    Must be Mrs. Phillip 😛
    getting the thumbnail before article feature yanked out..
    are we cross posting? http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-to-disable-genetation-of-thumbnail-for-featured-article/#post-414985

    I think we’re cross posting.
    The issue is with comm+ regardless of how many times a image is used, if its the 1st image in the article, ALL instances of it are ripped out and ONE is created as a “article avatar” if you will. I know of 2 complaints on this + myself. imo the implementation was faulty. as a param would’ve been better imo.

    This has been a standard method of JA templates for a long time. Personally I think it just takes a little understanding of how things work though I must admit using JA thumbnail is a better option.

    Hi

    Phill Luckhurst, with regard to your message as you said this (The code is supplied was not in philips CSS), I quote this is the template CSS i only add three line at the bottom of the template which:

    1. there was issue with the top menu drop down when when you click on the meny the list show behind the slideshaw in safari but in IE9 is ok
    2. I change the color of the paragraph to black color as stong and readable.
    /*title
    ———————*/
    h4.ja-zintitle a{
    color:#000;
    }

    3. as you advised me as i dont use thumbnail to change the line on css as follow:
    /* Article Visable
    ——————–*/
    .article-content {
    overflow: visible;

    Last and not least your site demo from what iseen is build under joola 1.5 not joomla 1.7

    You need to belive what i am saying, i do respect your opinion but you need to respect mine as i always do my work with care.

    I just saw this message, I have give you everything for the FTP and as i upload and download all the permession are in correct so i dont understand what are you talking about it? I use the same logon and no problem with permession and i use fillzillay which you will be able to change the permession.. where is the confusion?

    No confusion at all. When I tried to edit your CSS unfortunately the file had no write access from the account I was using. I believe I mentioned this on an earlier page. I also do not quite understand the respect comment you made. I have no doubt that you did make the changes but for some reason they did not show up for me. It was not meant as a comment on your work, just an observation.

    I am on the road at the moment and will not be home until Friday. If you can wait until then I will give editing your code another go.

    As for the demo the initial page you see is J1.5 but there is a button on the left to switch to the new J1.7 version.

    Thanks.

    However, I couldn’t wait and I’ve made many changes to the template (css and all) and don’t want to make a mess of my website by updating. So I’ll have to stick with the workaround I put in place.

    Thanks for taking care of it though.

    well… what I would recommend, is a few things… #1 you can do a “diff” from the update against your changes.. JAE supports that well and is one of its major strengths.
    #2 you can move your ‘changes” to overrides and then your free to update and your overrides will not be lost. There are video’s and wiki on how to do this.
    #2 is the recommended method for all such changes and precludes the need for #1 yet keeps your software up-to-date.
