I am not able to get images in articles to work on the front page.

The image overlays the text.

I saw a solution posted but it does not seem to work for me.

Have you checked if you have enabled your JA Thumbnail plugin ?

Yes, JA Thumbnail is enabled. (Manual)

This was resolved by placing a line break in the code before the image declaration.
