I don’t understand how this template is resizing images. The generated thumbnails are indeed smaller but the are not fully shown. Here some samples from one picture, the first is the original:

Is this normal behavior or can I improve some settings?

Hi PGLion

You are using crop mode in the case. You can change to resized mode by editing modules which are resizing images

With teline iii template, please check following extensions:
+ ja news2 module
+ ja news frontpage
+ ja thumbnail plugin
