I just finished the quickstart install, however the big main images that I see on the demo site are not working. How can I get them to show, and how can I change them to my own images?
thanks,

You try to delete all file inside the cache folder and set permission 777 for the “images” folder!
and try to check again
Good luck

August 3, 2010 at 3:05 am #351532Hi , I’m having the same problem. I’m trying to change the large photo in the “top Module” (the main photo). I created an image 970 x 340 px then I FTP’d my new image to my server in the /images/stories/slideshow and wrote over the sl-1.jpg.
For some reason my new image is not showing up. I even tried changing the images folder to 777, cleared cache etc. but the old image is stil showing. I can’t figure out why.
Does it need to be changed in another folder?

Have you tried the setting “Using Image Source“? (configure this in JA Slideshow module configuration panel >Advanced parameters> Thumbnail Mode ). If no success, please PM me FTP account and Administrator account, I will check again.
October 11, 2010 at 10:31 pm #358504I am having the same problem as the original poster. Used quickstart but no images are showing up in the slideshow. I’ve set permissions to 777 and cleared the cache and still nothing. I’ve looked in the images folder and there is no “stories” subfolder. I’m not sure what’s going on.
You can see the site here:
http://hadrian.lunariffic.com/~sorop0/
All other images on the page are showing up except for those in the slideshow. Where am I supposed to be looking for the slideshow images?
EDIT: Images are showing up now but how do I switch them to my own images? Again I can’t seem to find where these images live.

October 15, 2010 at 4:19 am #359058you disable cache option in the Advanced parameter, and try to clear cache via the Cache Manager of joomla.
Also, go to folder : /images/resized/images/stories/slideshow/
and delete the content of that folder. Refresh your site and new images should be seen.
