hi there,
i can not find the reason for this:
in the headline-area of ja-news module there are pictures shown, uploaded directly with jce-editor – and they are presented on the frontpage.
in the category-area of ja-news module there are pictures not shown, if they are uploaded and integrated with jce-editor: to be shown, they has to be included as a {mosimage}.maybe i did somewhere a wrong configuration?
maybe this is a bug?
maybe i just changed somethin in configuration to the wrong?please help – google cant.

May 19, 2007 at 4:35 pm #220384Maybe I didn’t understand the problem as described. I checked with FF2.0 and IE7 and I am seeing all images on frontpage, categories and in articles.
May 19, 2007 at 6:33 pm #220388yes, all images are there. BUT: in the header integrated with jce-editor (without {mosimage} and in the content-area added with {mosimage}, because without it does not work….

May 19, 2007 at 8:04 pm #220396I would suspect that it is an issue with the JCE Editor. I used to use JCE but ran into way more problems using it than the default Joomla editor TinyMCE. I always noticed it in HTML view there was always multiples of certain tags, etc. in JCE. I did notice at the Joomla site that recently JCE was listed as an incompatible product. There is an ongoing thread there about modules , mambots and components that cause problems.

Thats strange I use the latest JCE added their image plugin thing and the utilities and its working really great, if your happy with what you use fine, but I’m just wondering if you’ve tried the latest release etc?
Just can’t think I’m the only one here using it or getting a good run outta it? That’s all 🙂

Yeah, I understand that the newest version corrected the security and other issues with JCE. I may have spoke too fast here.
May 20, 2007 at 8:23 pm #220481If i understand you correctly, i think i have the same problem.
Even if you replace the mosimage tag with a custom image in the module the front page still displays the mosimage default .
example: {mosimage} blah blah filler text
and change it to
[//images/customimage.jpg] blah blah filler text
the mosimage still displays next to the article description on the main page.I worked around this by replacing the mosimage originally tied to the story with a image of my own, but this limits me to where i can create new content on the front page.
how do you disable the mosimage default and replace the images that are displayed next to the lead story.
I am working on a local version (Xamp) so i cannot post a live link but can post screen shot if needed.
i just downloaded the file and this is the first issue i noticed. and just also noticing how slow the servers are WOW.
