I am using JCEditor and the images are not resizing once I place into an article. I am using 1.5 version. I have an existing site in progress so I did NOT use quickstart (and won’t as I have a considerable amount of content.

Help! I have to size images exactly before I load them. I use the image resizer in JC Editor (which works all the time elsewhere) and the new image size won’t take effect inside an article. But it will take effect in a module!

for load times it’s always better to provide the image at the required size rather than have it resize on the fly. Have you checked that GD2 is enabled? Using latest JCE here with tiris and if I wish it resizes for me.

    What is GD2?

I generally load small files, but sometimes you have to re-size on the fly for specific articles.

GD2 is a PHP function (library) that allows resizing of images, The media manager in JCE needs it to allow resizing as far as i know. I notice when installing some JCE stuff it will often comment ‘success GD2 library available or installed’ etc. for more info go to JCE forum or Google GD2 and JCE. Make sure JCE editor and media manager plugins are enabled 🙂
