I have seen a lot of posts regarding the images resizing and not fitting into the template when images are inserted in articles. My issue is that When I have the pages set up to either category blog or section blog layout, the images all go to the top of the article page and cannot be inserted anywhere but at the top.

On the administrator screen of an article, the images appear to be inserted where I choose, but the minute I save them, the images float to the top of the article page and not to where I inserted them. I have changed some of the section php files but it still doesn’t help.

Why can’t the blog type pages allow the images to be inserted where you insert them and multiple images to be inserted?

Here is the example – http://www.concentricelements.com/concentricthoughtsblog/

Thanks for the response, but discus and tweets are an integral part of the social marketing process. I will give it a shot and see if there are conflicts.

No conflicts found. Turned them both off.

    Anyone else of any suggestions??
    Thanks

    Dear caclemor,

You images are placed on article’s top ,it is default feature of the JA Ruby template ,I think you should need to make some changes on codes if you want to remove this feature .

I realize that there needs to be code changes and that is why I posted this in hopes that some Joomla Arts staff would respond. But yet, no replies. Thanks for re-affirming what I already knew though. At least another user understands what I need.

It is part of the override system to make articles appear uniform. As you have applied fixed image sizes with code they are staying the size you have chosen and are not being re-sized by the script. To remove the feature take a look at the code in templates>ja_ruby>html>com_content>frontpage

You’ll see inside there a number of files that control the look of items in the frontpage layout. In com_content>section and com_content>category you will see the code for the other layouts. If you know a little html you can adjust to your taste. If not and you just want the standard layout simply renam the frontpage folder to something else. Do the same for section and category and all will revert to the standard Joomla default.

Not sure I got all that, but will try just renaming the files.

Thanks Phill, it worked like a charm.
