When attempting to add an image/graphic to any article or content item, the graphic appears correctly in the editor window but when it is published, strange scaling (like enlarging to 3X size), cropping or borders appear. This happens on items not for the front page.

I can see that there must be some type of automatic resizing/cropping feature for those items that appear on the front page which makes sense but not for other articles within the site. I’ve tried recreating the article, putting into different sections/categories but it just creates these strange modifications to the graphics.

Also, on articles, I cannot add more than one graphic. If I do, it deletes it from view but it is still present in the editor. I need to be able to display more than one article per page. And although I select a position (right or left) for the article so that the text will wrap, it ignores it and defaults to putting the image and the top and the text undernearth :((

I have attempted to install the JCE Editor which is a much better editor and easier to work with than Tiny MCE which seems to have some issues with this template but I keep getting install errors. I’ve never run into this issue before on your other templates so I’m curious as to why I can’t get this to install on this site.

Thank you in advance with any fixes or recommendations you can offer to resolve these issues.

    Hello guy!

    Please see our demo: http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#templates.joomlart.com/ja_ruby

In the list, the image display on the top and the introduction text display bellow the image.
With each image type has a Concrete size:
    a) Image display on the heading: width: 559px and height: 237px
    b) Image display on the list: width:260 and height 212px

The problem is happeing on your site, because the image has the size very small, not same our demo.

I recommend that you should put the image which has size same as demo. If you would not like display a large image on the article page, you can use the ja thumbnail plugin to resolve this problem.

I have tried what you suggested. The border issue seems to be gone but I cannot get the image to align left next to the text. It keeps forcing it to the top. I want the image to appear like it does in the editor window. I have tried 3 different editors and I cannot make this image align the way the image editor is commanding it to.

I don’t really understand what you are saying above.

Am I to understand that if my images aren’t sized in a particular way in ANY article they are going to appear strangely.

It looks to me like there is a big issue with the template css file here that forces these pages to display just one way.

There must be a way to be able to layout a page the way you want in the editor.

I’m getting very frustrated trying to make this work and would really appreciate some more detailed explanation of how to fix this forced formatting issue these articles are having.

Sizing the images as you indicate above DOES NOT work.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

The solution can be found here. Seems a user figured this out – was an issue in the css file.

Change that little bit of code and problem is solved.
