Hello,

we use Joomla 2.5 to develop a intranet.
And we use the Ja University template.
On the home page we have a slideshow with more than 1000 pictures. It is ok because we are on local network (this is for a intranet).
So the home page doens’t load, but it is ok with less pictures (50 pictures).

But the parameter “sort order” is set to random.
So is slideshow module load all images when we clic on the home page ?
Or just load a random image ?

The number of images is recommended under 20 images for the best performance.

Yes, The parameter set to ‘random’ means when page is loaded, Slideshow Lite will show a random image in the Folder.

thank for your answer.

So we can not use more than 20 pictures (we never see this in the docs) ?
We are on local (it is for a intranet), we have a full bandwidth.

And we use the slideshow module (not the sildeshow lite).
So the exact question is :
slideshow module load all images and after that choose a random image ?
or slideshow module read all images and after that choose one random image ?

Hello,

The Slideshow will fetch all image first, create random list, then display the random list as you see after refresh the page.
