Hi,

I got J3.0 with JA_MITIUS (quickstart) and I tried to open Extensions/Template Manager/JA Mitius – Default to edit some settings but it is not possible. Every JA Mitius style I open make admin environment crash.
I tried to open it with Win7 and Chrome and also with Linux and Mozilla Firefox with same no success results.
I also noticed that I am not able to use galleries from Flash-gallery.com together with JA_Mitius template.
In case I use Ja Mitius and install gallery whole frontend page goes down.
I realized I can solve it switching off following modules:

Tabs Top
Hot news
Popular news
Ja content pop up
Editor Blogs
Latest games
JA Slideshow Lite
JA Accordion

but in this case site stays raw so I see no sense to use it like this.
Guys from flash-gallery.com said that there is some problem with templates and I tried to set default joomla 3.0 template.
After I applied it site started to work again.

Hi P.

I have installed this template on a number of environments to test and see if I can replicate your problem and so far it is working well on all systems I have tried it on.

To help further we would need to know exactly what the errors your server is getting. Usually a 500 server error is a miss-configuration on the server. It could be for instance that the memory limit set on the server is lower than that required for a particular program to run. Without having access to the actual error message generated on the server it is going to be impossible for us to tell.

In addition, as you have provided an adnim logon and not a super admin logon we cannot see important information about your particular server as we do not have access to the php.info output etc.

If this is a fresh site then it may be worth you re-uploading and installing the quickstart again just in case some files were corrupted during the upload. We have seen this in the past especially when people use web based ftp programs rather than a decent ftp program such as filezilla.

That suggests that your host does not have php-XML support and is something only your host can deal with or advise on.

I took a look into jaimage.php and it is connected to function; “imagecreatefrom”

Okay I probably solved it also
The php54-gd module were missing also…
Anyway thanks fro showing me way how to proceed with problems like this…

Probably worth googling the common extensions php has running. I am guessing you may be missing a few more. Probably things like php_cURL etc. A simple way is to install WAMP on your desktop machine and look at the php info output. From the back end of Joomla you can also do that making it easy to see what might be missing.

For imagecreate function, i think you should check your GD library.
http://php.net/manual/en/book.image.php

Just like php-XML, please install or enable it 🙂
