There is a small improvement that needs to be made to the operation of your component. I note my understanding below : –
With the ‘Content – JA Comment’ plugin you can set comments to be against either
1. Categories, or
2. Menus
I found that this was generally going to be more than an adequate selection or a filter mechanism and indeed you can even select ALL Menus and ALL Categories. However, there is no way to assign your component to operate with NO Categories and NO Menus (from what I can see). You need to be able to do this when you only want to use the system with a few selected articles and associating them with the ‘Editor Button – JAComment ON’ plugin (Inserting the {jacomment on} tag into an article.)
I got over this limitation by just setting up a dummy category and menu item and selecting these. I just thought that this would be a simple option to complete what I am finding to be a most practical and well laid out component.
