    In my website grow mushrooms.
As much as delete items and then empty the trash, after a couple of minutes are the items again there like magic.
    * example:
    Category:

    Uncategorised
    Twitter
    Facebook
    Unnamed Category

    Articles:

    9GAG
    Joomla
    Joomlart
    Mashable

    Etc. ..

    What I have to do?

You understand that in this way can not tolerate the operation of a web page.

I hope you do not let me wait long, JoomlArt usual.

    The version is 1.0.4 Wall

You need to disable your social feed plugin. Else every time you empty the trash it will repopulate again.

If you don’t want the feeds to repopulate, then don’t empty the trash or just move them to a hidden category.

Many Thanks, did not know this.
If I disable social feed plugin, what side effects can be?
    When is it used?

If I hide a category, will fill my database with garbage.
    Or not?

If the social feed plugin is disabled, then you won’t get any news feed because it’s disabled =) That is the side effect.

You can’t hide a category but you can create a category that has no menu links so basically it can’t be accessed. But the articles inside that category will still be in your database. Though by garbage, I don’t know what you want.

The social feed plugin can be configured to pull news feed only from sources that you want to, so I don’t see where’s the garbage. But I do see that you will be filled with alot of old articles, that’s why I don’t use the social feed plugin on my site.
