December 2, 2013 at 3:14 am #514041After all. what ever the end user’s skill level, you ARE even at a professional developer level choosing to use a pre-built template/framework, mainly I take it to save time developing your own or because you can’t develop your own.
In your instance,Austenn01, you indicate you have better skills than some, then I ask why aren’t you only using a t3v3 blank and developing it from scratch? instead of using a template? Again, I think most would say for time & design considerations. Then the following comments may be valid.
I think exoduser, like myself view this as being of the case why should the user have to f*&k with css in any way shape or form at any time via browser plugins, running external editors etc.
All css for simple things like link colour, headings, h tags, uppercase conversion etc should be accessable via admin backend, there should be NO need to open any css editor like topstyle 5, notepad even to achieve your desired results, let alone have to turn off compression, run some utility like firebug etc to locate what part of the css file or indeed what one of several css files needs to be modified?
As template (boilerplate) users by choice, we should be insulated from the need for external editing at all costs, if we wanted to be clever, show our skill levels off or increase our knowledge of Joomla a hundred fold we’d then be in a position to develop own own frameworks and templates without the need to use Joomlart et al?

Corporate templates are extremely useful. The average website needed by customers would include.
1. Nice clear header 940 x 150
2. Your great menu system (This is the best thing about your templates)
3. Slide show (Maybe with a few different layout options)
4. Left and right column + positions for banners.
5. A nice video presentation module. To show 1 or 2 corporate videos
6. K2 blog is good
7. Testimonials Page
8. Customer form makerKind of a bit like http://www.freshbooks.com
Popular colours: Blue, Eco Green, Red, Browns
A very usable template would be appreciated.</blockquote>
If they make a template like that freshbooks link you posted then I will cancel my account because that freshbooks template looks like it’s from the 90’s and there’s no way that would ever be used on any of my websites

December 4, 2013 at 1:23 pm #514323I have to agree…but probably they have no time to develop JATeline V since its great because of its versatility, many features, many modules that are customized for it. AND THAT IS WHAT USERS want the MOST…
SO JoomlART please listen to your users, EVEN IF YOU DONT RELEASE ANYTHING for 2-3 months, and then release JA Teline V i would not be griping and moaning here…
Please give us TEMPLATE that most of us CAN ACTUALLY USE…

December 5, 2013 at 8:36 pm #514484There’s a lot of complaints in this thread. If you notice joomlart has been trying to slowly move forward away from the old portal styles that simply don’t work nicely on mobile devices. I would prefer they experiment more with the latest approaches and styles for modern portals. Smashboard,Wall, and one-page are a few examples. Definitely not executed nicely, but a decent first start. If anything Joomlart should be studying themeforest sales and new approaches to delivering content created by ad agencies rather that joomlart’s template download count.

Really sorry to turn out this way. :((</blockquote>I so not agree with you on this one. Maybe in iraq they want those templates from yesteryear but where i’m from those look really dated and sure they have lots of downloads because they are so OLD!
The demo just came up. Look at the “About us” page. I see lots of stuff there that is really neat and very useable for a business template. I do have to say i didn’t see it that way the first time i opened the demo.
BTW: the offcanvas nav for desktops. What is the purpose? Besides me having to click one more time extra. That’s not very UI friendly is it? I would really like a reply on what the advantages is of this feature.
Regards
Tom

December 6, 2013 at 11:29 am #514550Also would like to know how you did that effect on the laptop screen. Would certainly be interested in trying something like that myself.

December 6, 2013 at 1:05 pm #514557Hi Everyone,
I am sorry for a low amount of communication here during the development of this template. I have been super busy with the development of the new version of T3 Framework. Now that the Demo is up, let me quickly show you a tour of this special template:
1. Appolio is based on the new version of T3 framework, the 2.0.x series, featuring Bootstrap3, Font Awesome 4 and, of course, the latest version of Joomla, Joomla 3.2. Check out what’s new or read the full change log
2. We are introducing a new way of presenting navigation: Off-Canvas.
You may have seen the Off Canvas menu recently in modern websites. The Off canvas feature in T3 not only support menu modules, but also any module type that you can think of. In JA Appolio, the Signup/Login module can be reached anywhere via the off canvas panel3. A smarter sticky menu. If you are a “pay attention to details” person, you will see that our sticky Menu is smarter. Please leave a comment below if you want to find out about that hidden feature.
4. Parallax Scrolling. This is the very first time we are implementing this awesome navigation into a template. Many of you didn’t like the preview because you couldn’t feel the real template experience. Take another look now that the working demo is up.
5. Some extra bonus pages that you should not miss
Pricing Table: http://joomla-templates.joomlart.com/ja_appolio/index.php/en/pricing
Team Page: http://joomla-templates.joomlart.com/ja_appolio/index.php/en/about-us
EasyBlog: http://joomla-templates.joomlart.com/ja_appolio/index.php/en/easyblogWe will roll out the download page within an hour. Another version update can be expected next week.
Personally, I really like this template and I believe it is one the most elegant, clean and modern template we have ever offered our users this year. It is not going to fit every Joomla project you are planning, but if you can’t use it on ANY of your projects, you may need to revise your project list :).
Now I am ready to response to any questions, or feedback you may have on JA Appolio.
