According to google stats, alexa and awstats, my dissident news site has between 6,000 and 10,000 visitors a day. Most of those articles that are linked to from other dissident sites, according to awstats, receive between 1,500 and 6,000 hits. However, the hit numbers displayed by Joomla 2.5/JA Wall are much lower, around 100-200 for the most popular articles. I suspect this problem has to do with the caching. joomla probalby does not record the hit because the article is being served by the cache and the database does not know that the article had a hit. The problem with this is that the low hit numbers don’t look impressive at all. How can this problem be fixed?

    Hi Andrewwinkler,

Did you try to disable the cache? Hit counter does not work when cache is on.

    Regards
