January 29, 2009 at 7:32 am #137620Hi I have searched for an answer to this on joomlart and joomla and have not found an answer.
if you try to login to the site with a bogus username and password such as:
Apple
Orangeit just goes back to the login screen.
I would like an incorrect username password combo popup to appear as it does on my other ja-fagus install
I am also interested in requesting assistance paid if needed to set up this:
login incorrect message appears
login correct redirect to: registered goes to home page
Author goes to another pageLaunch deadline is fast approaching so any help or quote on services would be appreciated.

January 29, 2009 at 9:53 am #288787The forums at forum.joomla.org have dedicated developers who offer paid services.
Try there. What you want requires hacking into the joomla code itself, and it’s not template-dependant.

January 29, 2009 at 9:49 pm #288885Ok the second half of my request may involve core stuff but I think that the mod login in the quickstart may be incomplete..Im thinking my issue might be becuase of an incomplete modlogin file
here are two mod login files – the first one is from version 1.015 from a ja-fagus site i have installed where login works properly. and below that theres a modlogin script from the ja-fagus quickstart 1.5.9
snip – no need wrong rabbit hole
————-
Does the second mod login file look correct for a 1.5.9 installation??artmyth Friendartmyth

January 29, 2009 at 9:57 pm #288886oh i see that in 1.5.9 that the login script has changed so i guess my theory is incorrect the script looks ok compared to a 1.5.9 version

January 30, 2009 at 12:20 am #288899well – a step closer I think
I altered the error reporting in global configuration, and I am now getting an error message about wrong username password, however it is not giving me a pop-up – I suspect when I move the site to the main public_html directory things may magically start to work – I suspect, sh404 and my server configuration may cause conflicts with th ejavascript an dsef urls? – just a hunch
